Route Closes: 3:00 P.M. - All riders must finish by this time.
Ryan Dungey will start his ride at 9:00 A.M. with a brief introduction. All other riders can start their ride, once checked-in or registered, any time between 8:00 and 10:00. Participants can register the day of the ride.
Parking is FREE at the Afton Apple Orchard and will be marked at the entrance on ride day.
MAJOR AND MINOR RIDES & HILL HAULER
Both rides take scenic turns along and through the Minnesota and St. Croix River Valley.
62 Miles (100K) with three rest stops-mile 19, 30 and 56-and a Hill Hauler challenge at approximately mile 57. Download the MAJOR course map.
Hill Hauler (Major Course Only):
All Major Course participants will be issued a timing chip. Around mile 57, there will be a Hill Hauler challenge where the fastest men's and women's time through the climb takes home a great prize from one of our sponsors. Although the rest of the ride is not a race, this is your chance to show off your speed. Your overall time for the course is not recorded, only the hill section.
20 Miles (32K) with a single rest stop at mile 13.
EVENT VILLAGE AT THE AFTON APPLE ORCHARD
Ultimately, the MN Major is about family and fun, this is where the Event Village comes in. The Afton Apple Orchard is a great family-friendly place to enjoy the ride, relax and take in the beautiful scenery. The orchard itself won't be open quite yet, but there will be plenty happening. Here's a rundown of what you'll find:
- Apple Cider Brats, Strawberry Lemonade slushees, plus other goodies available from the orchard.

- MN Major merchandise
- Basic mechanical support
KIDS RIDE AT EVENT VILLAGE
A one-mile loop through the scenic orchard will be open for kids during the entire event. The trail is packed gravel, so make sure your little ones are comfortable riding on that type of surface before they hit the trail.
All participants are required to wear a helmet. No exceptions.
Obey The Rules Of The Road
The event is not a race. Cyclists must follow all traffic laws. This includes all stoplights, stop signs and speed limits. The route is open to vehicular traffic. Cyclists must share the roads with vehicles during the entire event.
Please do not litter. Minnesota spends $5 million a year collecting litter off the sides of roadways. If you are seen throwing garbage, gel packs, inner tubes or any other disposable items on the ground, you will be fined for littering. In Minnesota, the fine for littering is as much as $700 per occurrence. Event staff and volunteers are not responsible for cleaning up after you.

What's At Them?

Vehicles will be on course, patrolling, to help riders if there is a need. Police/Medical support from County sheriffs, State Highway Patrol and local Police will be on route to help direct traffic at major intersections. Please remember all cyclists are required to follow the rules of the road. That means obeying all stops signs and stoplights.
Emergency: If there is an emergency, like a crash or injury, call 911 immediately.
Ride Day Course Support: If you need to reach race support staff on the day of the ride, please call 651-302-1576.

Take 694 East to Hwy. 94 East. East on Hwy. 94 to Manning Ave/MN 95 (County Rd .15) exit #253. South/Right on Manning Ave/MN 95 9 miles to 90th St. (Co. Rd 76), turn left and go 2 1/2 miles to our orchard. Watch for signs.
From Mpls/St. Paul

Ultimately, the MN Major is about family and fun, this is where the Event Village comes in. On ride day, there will be plenty of excitement to be shared outside of the route. Food, entertainment, live music, and a special kid's course will anchor the looped races. Enjoy the weather and community while you wait for a loved one to finish or kick back your feet after a well-run race, Event Village will be the place to be.

Yes, there will race support patrolling the course if you need any help.
Is the event timed?
No. The only timed portion is the Hill Hauler on the Major Course.

Can I bring my family?
Absolutely. The orchard is a great place for people of all ages and interests. There will be some great local food options, a Skullcandy DJ Booth and a one-mile Kids Ride happening in the Event Village from 8:00 A.M. - 3:00 P.M.
How long does it take to ride the course?
The Major Course is 62 miles, which means if you ride 15 miles an hour, you'd finish in about four hours. If you average 10 miles an hour, you can expect to finish in six hours. The Minor Course is 20 miles, which means if you ride 15 miles an hour, you'd finish in about an hour and-a-half. If you average 10 miles an hour, you can expect to finish in around two hours.
Where can I make additional donations?
When you register through MN Major, a custom fundraising page will be created for you. Up until ride day, that's your portal to accepting and making donations. On ride day, St. Jude will have representatives on-site to accept donations and talk about their mission and programs.
